The ABC quoted Lia Finocchiaro as saying:
Opposition Leader Lia Finocchiaro said she remained concerned about the Chief Minister’s previous threat to sack the board.
“We were horrified that Gunner might be walking into Parliament this week changing a law that could affect 1,600 associations across the Territory,” she said.
“We just don’t think the Chief Minister should have any power or overreach to just reach into community organisations and decide who’s going to be on their committee or their board.” Source ABC
The Opposition Leader is more worried about an elected Chief Minister than she is with the activities of unelected lobbyists.
The silence of the CLP on the activities of lobbyists is a concern and danger for democracy.
