The NT ICAC must prevail in court against the challenges mounted by those identified as being corrupt. If the ICAC does not prevail then it will look like a joke.
As The Trust has previously stated, it would be ideal if the ICAC simply referred individuals for prosecution and the let the courts determine the guilt or innocence of the accused. ICAC should then publish a report after the conviction. ICAC is not a court and the reports are a nothing without “heads on pikes”.
Michael Riches wants only big corruption cases. Darwin Turf Club is a big case and Riches cannot afford to lose in court.
