Minister Off With The Birds On NT Police
The Northern Territory Police are in chaos. Stretched to the limit, asked to do jobs more appropriate for security officers while all the time having to follow “whatever you do, do not mention the Aboriginal crime problem”. Add on some top down bullying. No wonder officers are leaving the NT Police.
As for the idea of recruiting police from India or Africa! Yes it has been suggested by government. It may sound like a fairy story. We quote “if we can recruit overseas medical doctors why not police?”.
