The Art Of Obfuscation

The Cambridge Dictionary online defines obfuscate as to make something less clear and harder to understand, especially intentionally.

Our politicians and bureaucrats obfuscate deliberately on a daily basis. They like to confuse the masses, so they can continue getting away with all.

Here is just example of what governments can do.

Could the government “employ” companies owned by political advisors rather than employing the individuals. This would really create some obfuscation. The individuals would be working for a company that has a contract with the government. They would not be government employees. In New Zealand it seems to be a technique. LINK

The government could also create yet another QUANGO, a quasi-autonomous non-governmental organisation. Andrew Wilkie, the federal member for Clark makes his thoughts on QUANGO’s very clear in this article.
