DCC Using Old Techniques To “Misplace” Letter

Reports of a lost and then found again letter at the Darwin City Council are reminiscent of the old adage “it fell behind the filing cabinet” or there was an administrative oversight. Talk about putting the letter at the bottom of the wrong pile!

Seems like someone was playing political games!  Or alternatively they did not like the content of the letter because it did not align with their vision.

These are the games that constantly go on within the NT Government. Remember that DCC is part of the NT Government.

Perhaps you have heard some of these?

“We apologise for misplacing your letter”.

“We are unable to locate your application”.

“Are you sure that you submitted your application?”

Readers should also note that governments usually send electronic copies of letters via email as well as the physical letter, for example Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet to the DCC. Then there is the electronic records management system being used by DCC.

Sounds like someone was trying to pull a KON job over the letter! What a great pun, con and Kon.

Who Do Our Politicians Answer To?

The Trust believes that too many of our politicians are under the sway of companies and/or foreign powers. Why are our politicians so ready to do deals with a foreign power? Yet the NT Government or local government has no remit in foreign affairs. The Commonwealth has been too slow to reign in dodgy deals with foreign powers.

The Northern Territory has a China problem. Michael Gunner and Kon Vatskalis are two NT politicians who appear to be closely aligned with Chinese interests. Who is their real master?

Gunner Hijacked

Michael Gunner was recently hijacked. During a staged press conference at Karama Shopping Centre Gunner had to retreat to his car and speed off when June Mills hijacked the proceedings. This technique works well when you have advance notice of where our politicians will be.

Hijacking a Press Conference

Great move by June Mills. Congratulations.

“Are you insane?”

Chief Minister Michael Gunner cops a spray from Larrakia woman June Mills

NT News 24/10/2018

CHIEF Minister Michael Gunner faced a hostile reception at a press conference in Karama this afternoon.

Mr Gunner was at the Karama shops with local member Ngaree Ah Kit and Larrakia Nation boss Robert Cooper to promote his Government’s new plan to target anti-social behaviour.

But the press conference was gatecrashed by Larrakia elder June Mills, who gave the Chief Minister a lengthy spray about law and order, fracking and grog policy.

Ms Mills said the Gunner Government’s policy of putting cops on bottlos was a “continued criminalisation” of Aboriginal people.

Mr Gunner took the bollocking from Ms Mills quietly until he was ushered into a waiting car and driven off.
