Revelations that NT police officers are dealing drugs is hardly surprising. Sadly the NT police have been getting away with things for years. Riding roughshod over members of the public, carrying out private vendettas and interfering in legal matters are some of the hallmarks of the NT police.
The rot has even gone to the very top, McRoberts was a very bad look for the force. Only recently there were the sordid details of rape allegations being aired in the Supreme Court. Something is very wrong with the NT police! A sick culture exists within the force. Many officers have an attitude that they can act with impunity and do as they please.
Jamie Chalker seems to be playing catch up? Is he actually being proactive and cleaning up the force? Are NTPA an impediment to reform?

Many people in the NT do not speak out because of fear from being denounced. In the case of the police this is especially true.
Our Local Court has appeared to go soft on those who should be setting the standards in society. Lawyers and business people involved with drugs have seemed to only receive a slap on the wrist. Yet others from poorer sections of society are given a custodial sentence.
